During 2020, many of us haven’t been able to feel that holiday high due to the pandemic. It’s been a difficult year for everyone but we want to get back to helping you get that just-booked-a-holiday feeling for your next getaway.

The world of cruising looks a little different right now but we want to make your booking experience as enjoyable as your holiday. That’s why we’ve introduced our new Cruise with Confidence Guarantee to make sure that all you need to do is relax, knowing that we’ve taken care of everything for you.

Keeping you and your family safe

Our top priority is to make sure you and your family feel safe and confident when planning your next cruise; we know that safety abroad is top of your mind too. We only work with the world’s most reputable travel providers which means that you can rest assured that, wherever in the world you travel to, you’re travelling with the very best cruise lines who have the very highest standards.

We recognise how important it is to follow Foreign Office advice and we will never ask you to travel against FCDO guidance. If travel advice changes and you are due to travel imminently, you’ll be able to change or cancel your holiday at no additional cost.

To give you extra peace of mind when you’re abroad, you’ll also have access to 24/7 support services.

Financial protection guaranteed

We go the extra mile to make sure that every single holiday with Cruise Direct is completely financially protected. When you pay for your holiday, your money is protected by either the ABTA or ATOL schemes which means that if your holiday cannot go ahead as planned, you are guaranteed to receive a refund.

In addition, we take out supplier failure insurances to give you a cast-iron guarantee that your money is protected against failed cruise lines, airlines, operators or hotels - no matter the circumstances.

Now, more than ever, we’re all looking for a little bit of flexibility in our lives and we recognise how important that is when you’re booking your cruise.

We’re committed to evolving our offering to help you book with confidence and that’s why we’re introducing even more flexibility for holidays and cruises in 2021 and beyond.

When you book your holiday with Cruise Direct, you’ll have access to a number of flexible booking options. We’ve been working closely with our travel partners to introduce new cancellation and amendment policies and we’re pleased to let you know that you can change or cancel your cruise up

to 48 hours before departure*. Ask our team about flexible booking options and each cruise line’s policy when enquiring about your cruise.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. Safety

1. If the FCDO advise against unnecessary travel to a destination, Cruise Direct will not book you to that destination, even if the flight is operating and the hotel is open. 2. If you have booked, and then the FCDO advice changes to advice against unnecessary travel, then you can change, or get a full refund, or refund credit note for the value of your booking. 3. If you need to change or cancel your booking because of lockdowns, entry restrictions at destinations or quarantine rules, each booking will be looked at on a case by case basis 4. If you or any of your party have difficulties on your trip, we shall (at no charge to you unless the difficulty has arisen due to you or the other traveller or through your or their negligence) provide appropriate assistance including providing appropriate information on health services, local authorities and consular assistance and assist you with making distance communications and making alternative travel arrangements.

2. Financial Protection

1. All the cruise holidays we sell come with protection for your money. Cruise holidays are protected by the organiser and we will provide you with their confirmation. 2. When you buy an ATOL protected flight or flight inclusive holiday from us you will receive an ATOL Certificate. This lists what is financially protected, where you can get information on what this means for you and who to contact if things go wrong. 3. We are a Member of ABTA and we provide protection for your flight based travel services through our Air Travel Operators Licence number 5346.

3. Flexibility

1. You can amend selected Cruise Direct holidays up to 48 hours before travel. This applies on selected cruise lines, including their discounts or promotions, but cannot be used in conjunction with any additional Cruise Direct discounts. Please ask in-store for a full list of applicable Cruise lines at the time of booking. We will help you as much as we can free of charge to find you another cruise or cancel your booking with the cruise line. 2. Some cruise lines may charge a fee and while they may the right to do this we will do everything to assist you ( free of charge).
